Giants LT Andrew Thomas (foot) may make season debut Sunday vs. Chiefs

Giants left tackle Andrew Thomas could be in line to make his return from Lisfranc surgery this week against Kansas City.
New York head coach Brian Daboll told reporters Thursday that Thomas took a lot of reps during Wednesday's practice even though he was listed as a limited participant. He added that was once again the plan for Thursday's practice.
"He'll do the exact same thing he did (Wednesday), basically," Daboll said. "He took a lot of reps, he'll take a lot of them today. It's just a positive sign with how many reps he did take yesterday that he'll do the same thing today, or similar. Not backing way off or anything like that."
Thomas, 26, has been sidelined since suffering the foot injury last October. Before that, he had been a mainstay on the Giants' offensive line, making 60 starts in 61 games played since he was the fourth overall pick in the 2020 draft and earning a second-team All-Pro nod in 2022.
While he sounds optimistic, Daboll did not commit to Thomas making his return Sunday for the Giants (0-2) against the Chiefs (0-2).
"I think it'll go all the way up to tomorrow, see where he's at, see how he feels," Daboll said. "He has to feel the right way."
